XDDD Privacy Policy

Data Collection

XDDD has no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. The developer does not collect, store, or share your personal data. The only data sent is the anonymous usage count described below, used to rank Trending Today and to show the developer which curated memes are popular. It is not linked to your identity and is never used to track you.

Where Your Memes Are Stored

The memes you save, along with their tags and recognized text, are stored on your device and synced across your devices through your own private iCloud database (CloudKit). This data lives in your iCloud account, and the developer cannot access it.

Images you save from other apps through the share sheet are handled the same way: they stay on your device and in your iCloud.

Text Recognition

Text in your memes is recognized on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Images are never uploaded to any server run by the developer.

The Memes Library

The Memes library is curated by the developer and downloaded from Apple's CloudKit public database. It is read-only; users can't upload to it.

Trending Today (Anonymous Usage Stats)

The Trending Today row in the Meme tab shows the curated memes people saved and shared most that day. To build this ranking, when you save or share a curated meme in XDDD, the app adds one to that meme's count for the day in Apple's CloudKit public database.

Only the date, the curated meme's ID and the save/share counts are sent. Your name, email, device identifiers and advertising identifier are not included, and the data is never used to track you. Nothing is sent about your own memes. Each device counts a given meme at most once per action per day.

When CloudKit writes to a public database, it automatically attaches an anonymous iCloud identifier that Apple generates and that only works within this app. The developer doesn't use it and can't use it to find out who you are.

You can turn off “Share Anonymous Usage Stats” in Settings. You'll still see the ranking. Nothing is sent if you aren't signed in to iCloud.

Photos Access

XDDD uses Photos access only to:

• Import the memes you pick.
• For XDD Plus subscribers who turn it on, create and maintain an album named “XDDD” in the Photos app.

When you delete a meme that XDDD saved to Photos, iOS asks you to confirm first. Photos you originally imported are only removed from the album and are never deleted.

Subscriptions and Payment

XDD Plus is a monthly subscription, and new subscribers get the first month free. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, and the developer never sees your payment information.

Deleting Your Data

• Delete memes in the app.
• To remove data from iCloud, go to Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage → XDDD.
• Deleting the app removes its data from your device.

Children

XDDD is not directed at children under 13. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
